KS1 Reading Week and Book Fair

As part of Reading Week the whole school enjoyed attending the Book Fair which, thanks to parents and friends, was a huge success. All the children took part enthusiastically in the World Book Day Activities, which included Treasure Hunts, Dressing Up, a Reading Café and sharing books with friends and family.

Parents and children in Year 1 and 2 attended ‘Let’s Read together’ workshops.

Teachers shared strategies, games and tips to help develop reading skills further. There was also an opportunity at the end of each session to read and enjoy books together, as well as purchasing books from the Book Fair.

We sold £1400 in books over the week so a huge thank you to everyone who supported this. Following are some pictures taken over the week.
