Caldew Lea Friends (CLF) is a group of volunteers who meet on a regular basis with the aim of supporting our school. Various events and activities are organised throughout the year with a view to raising funds as well as enjoying the social side bringing a local sense of community to the school. New ideas are always welcome.

Money raised benefits all of our children.  Donations have helped provide such things as the school stage, picnic benches, disco equipment, story sacks, the play house and the presentation of a dictionary to all our Year 6 leavers. We have also had bingo nights, raffles, quizzes and competitions.

Support of parents and carers is vital to the continued success of CLF and any help whatsoever is very much appreciated – why not come along to the next meeting.

The Summer Fayre at the end of the Summer term raised £1180. This was a fantastic result and will go into the savings pot for new playground equipment.

We planned lots of events during the Autumn term:

15th October – Sainsburys bag pack, 10am – 4pm. If you are interested in helping please contact Mrs King.

3rd November – Quiz night (including raffle). The evening will begin from 5.45pm for refreshments with the quiz starting at 6pm – maximum of 6 per team.

Secret Santa will be held in school on 30th November and 1st December.

Christmas Fayre – 12th December.

Breakfast with Santa – 13th December – this is open to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.

We will also be holding a “decorate your own Christmas card” competition during December.

New events are being planned for the rest of this term.

Look out for the Bingo Night on 21st MARCH, more details to follow soon…..
